Solar Eclipse Reset
Today marked one of those rare moments in my lifetime — the kind that makes you stop, look up, and remember that the universe doesn’t move on our schedule. Solar eclipses don’t show up often, and they definitely don’t arrive hand-in-hand with a New Moon and the finale of a five-planet retrograde. But here we are.
My biggest takeaway from today?
The eclipse felt like an energetic reset button — a moment where something clicked, shifted, and exhaled inside me.
If you’ve been struggling to find your footing in this chaos-heavy world while also juggling whatever’s unfolding in your inner world, you’re not alone. I’ve been carrying that same tug-of-war. But today felt… different. Lighter. More hopeful than yesterday.
Some of the shifts we’ll all feel will be subtle and welcome. Others might surprise us. But I can already sense that the transition from feeling lost to feeling grounded is going to be a little easier now. Those moments where I feel like I can’t breathe? I think a single deep breath might actually be enough to pull me back into alignment with my soul’s purpose again.
Before today’s solar eclipse, we were already pushed through a lunar eclipse while Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto were in retrograde. Then, just to make things interesting, Mercury and Uranus joined the party at the start of the month.
I don’t know about you, but my internal compass has been spinning since June. Up didn’t feel like up. Sideways felt easier than forward. And honestly, bobbing and weaving through life felt like the only manageable option.
Then Mercury showed up — our lovable, hateful best friend — to drag every subconscious thought to the surface. Communication broke down, emotions were louder than usual, and solitude suddenly felt like the only thing that made sense. I’ve never wanted quiet more in my entire life. I’ve never been so tired. Hermit mode wasn’t a choice — it was survival.
But here’s the kicker:
Tonight, we also enter a New Moon.
A solar eclipse… during a New Moon… right as Mercury is wrapping up its retrograde.
That’s a lot.
But it’s also an opportunity.
For some of us, the shift will come in a single breath — that “click” where you suddenly feel centered again. For others, it’ll be unexpected and maybe even uncomfortable. And then there are those who will be completely blindsided by it… in a good way or a disruptive way, depending on how they’ve been moving through life.
The truth is, this won’t be an easy process for everyone.
But the “sleepers” — the ones running on autopilot or living in default mode — are starting to wake up. They’re noticing things that have been there all along.
This is part of the larger awakening happening across a world that feels like it’s on fire. And every awakening is unique. Some are calm and steady. Others are abrupt and intense.
Wherever you land, remember this:
Take a breath.
Be patient with yourself.
And trust that all will be well — even if the path to “well” feels messy on the way there.
