The Four Horsemen and She

She walks along the rivers edge

Dreaming of what once had been
Her skin almost anew
As pieces fell among the dew

Among what had been
She found something new

A truth hidden from view
Sitting among the dew

A seed so rare, needing special care
Illusion lost; truth to spare
A gift given to few
To be cherished not skewed

From within she flared
As tears slowly descend
Nor sorrow, nor blessed

A knowing battle for one in unrest

Energy shifted as she felt conflicted

Smiling, as she began to be lifted

Stars circled; glittering prediction

Looking from the seed
Knowing what she would see

A horse pawing in front of her with need
A bowed man called to she

Willing to intercede
She could but smile and say,

“I have god within to fight off need. I already have victory you see.”

Handing her his crown,

Knowing what she truthfully found

Leaving her with trust
Blessed was she

He smile down
Disappearing with glee.

In his place all turned red
A horse began to pace
A mans; his sword

Pressed against her temple asking for its due.

She could but smile and say, “There is no blood to be found here. We are forever you and me; we are One don’t you see? As is the whole of humanity.”

He laid down his sword for her to adorn
Knowing what she truthfully found
Leaving her with trust
Blessed was she
He smile down

Disappearing with glee.

The day turned black as night
As a man and horse came into her sight.
A scale gleaming bright.

She could but smile and say,

“This one seed will do. For I have balance from other such things. Awakened anew. Thank you.”

Placing the scales upon her shoulders
Knowing what she truthfully found
Leaving her with trust
Blessed was she
He smile down

Disappearing with glee.

She smiled as she stood

Gliding to the pale one she knew
He reached his hand out to adore her
Her skin grew cold as the one before her.

As he made her cry; a mournful tone

Thrust after thrust
Past pains became new
When the soft whisper of his plea
was heard only by she,

“My seed is a gift to thee. Allow it to grow and bare a tree. It is only through Death you can be free.”

She could but smile and say, “I am already free, can’t you see, I have already died for thee?”

She turned up her palm
Reveling a single seed

Offering it to him
so he could see.

She could but smile and say,
”It is time for you to see, what one simple seed can give to thee.”

He smiled down
Knowing what she truthfully found

Blessed was she

He smile down with glee
Only to disappear within his need.

She walks along the rivers edge Dreaming of what once had been
Her skin almost anew
As pieces fell among the dew

Among what had been
She found something new

A truth hidden from view
Sitting among the dew
With a single seed
